Important Changes to Channels & Keeping Your System Up-to-Date
The last two months have seen two updates in which some channels changed so it’s important to bear these in mind. You need to carry out an update on your TV if you haven’t done this in September or October to cater for these changes. In September, NHK World launched on channel 286 and Newsmax on channel 287. Al Arabia was closed which was on channel 273.
In October, Pick became Sky Mix and was moved from channel 36 to channel 11. Sky Arts therefore moved from channel 11 to channel 36.
Choosing Freeview Play in 2023 & 2024
Freeview Play is an excellent way to enjoy shows that you love without having to pay for a subscription. The way that people access media has completely changed over the last 5 to 10 years with subscription-based services such as Amazon and Netflix fighting for various exclusives.
Freeview Play is an amazing choice in 2023 and beyond with a wide variety of channels to choose from. The only costs that are associated with Freeview is the cost of installing a TV aerial if you do not have one and the cost of the relevant top-box or Smart TV. After this – integration is seamless and you will not have to enter into any subscription-based models unless you want to do so.
The vast majority of the most popular TV shows are actually shown on free TV. With homeowners looking to reduce their monthly outgoings – many looked to TV subscriptions and assessed whether they were actually using them for the cost. There is also a wide range of different providers all providing different forms of content. With so much to choose from, it’s great to be able to have a baseline set of shows that are completely free for you to enjoy from the comfort of your own home.
Smart TVs and modern boxes also integrate with all major streaming platforms and providers. This allows you to integrate Freeview with your other subscriptions to enjoy the shows that you want
